Pride Showcase at the Kimmel Center

The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts celebrate Pride with free plaza events and a special one-night-only Orchestra performance hosted by Sapphira Cristál!

Join The Philadelphia Orchestra and incoming Principal Guest Conductor Designate Marin Alsop for our third annual FREE Pride Concert! Fresh off her appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Philadelphia drag queen Sapphira Cristál will host this fabulous celebration of unity, empowerment, and the Philadelphia region’s LGBTQ+ community.

The concert will feature music by LGBTQ+ composers and allies including works by Bernstein, Copland, and more. Joining in on the fun are the ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir, the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, and Philadelphia Voices of Pride.

Enjoy fun entertainment in the plaza, including a drag storytime with Brittany Lynn and a performance showcase featuring local drag queens and kings.

Important: This is a free, general admission event. Tickets are required for entry into the Philadelphia Orchestra concert in Marian Anderson Hall. Ticket holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis beginning approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Entry to the concert is not guaranteed. Please plan to arrive early, as you may need to wait in line. A standby line will let additional people into the concert if seats are still available at the earliest convenience.

In a Mock ball co-curated by Philadelphia Mother Rylee Prodigy, witness the Performance category featuring some of the “It Girls” of the new generation and Legends from the Philadelphia Ballroom Scene with commentator ICON Kevin JZ Prodigy, then dance and mingle with the community to the sounds of Legendary VJtheDJ.
